WE SAVE TEETH AND IMPLANTS
Teeth and implants can be lost because of inflammation and resulting bone loss! The same process can affect both.
The first case shows a lower molar which had defects and probings between 10-15mm. The defect was debrided with our laser and then grafted with bone and growth factors, PRP/PPP and barriers. The bone regeneration is seen on the image, 5 months later. Probings are now 4-5mm and there is no inflammation. Bone was regenerated up to the first thread.
The second case is a failing implant which was placed in New York about 18 months prior to her visit with me. Probings were 7-10mm on implant and 4-7mm on the mesial aspect of tooth of the adjacent tooth. 5 months later, the probings on the tooth and implant were 2-3mm, again with no inflammation.
Peri-implantitis and periodontitis can be treated to reverse severe bone loss! Biologic principles are the same.
